Introducing ScholarChip Security and Attendance System for Students in Grades 6-12
The district is phasing in ScholarChip, a digital system for security and recording attendance for students in grades 6-12, enabling students to “tap in” for attendance with their ID card. During the first week of school, students will be provided with an ID card which will be used for attendance in each of the middle and high schools. Students are expected to carry their ID card at all times.
For middle school students, attendance will be taken during homeroom/first period and during each scheduled class. For high school students, students will “tap in” to a ScholarChip kiosk upon entering school. The ScholarChip system will be used for classroom attendance and for determining authorized student access to assigned cafeterias.
Expect to find more information as we approach and begin the first few weeks of the new school year.
