Scholars in ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ’s My Brother’s Keeper Program (MBK) engaged in a on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day by handing out masks to community members. The young men were at the Newburgh Free Library for an hour and then headed to several local senior homes to hand out masks to residents. The overall goal is to communicate the continued need to remain vigilant and to help stop the spread of COVID 19.
The MBK scholars were joined by MBK mentor Dr. Richard Brown, his wife and fellow NFA teacher Dr. Kristy Brown and their family, Board of Education Vice President, Mr. Philip Howard, City of Newburgh Mayor, Mr. Torrance Harvey, and Assistant Superintendent for Student Support Services Dr. Pedro Roman.
Masks were donated by the Rotary’s Million Mask Challenge last week.
