Career and Technical Education (CTE) Spotlight on Video Production
February is National Career and Technical Education Month! Today, we are featuring the award winning Video Production Program! (Please note, all photos were taken prior to the necessity of COVID-19 precautions.)
Scholars in video production learn how to pitch, write, record, and edit their own stories. You will see these scholars giving the morning announcements every day with many other scholars behind the camera writing and producing the pieces. You will also see these scholars winning and placing at national competitions!
Career and Technical Education (CTE) is education that directly prepares students for high-wage, high-demand careers. CTE covers many different fields, including health care, information technology, advanced manufacturing, hospitality and management, and many more! CTE encompasses many different types of education, from classroom learning to certification programs to work-based learning opportunities outside the classroom. Newburgh Free Academy offers a robust CTE program right within their high school buildings.
