ELL Orientation Meeting
On Saturday, August 27, our Spanish speaking families attended the ELL orientation meeting at the Board of Education. This informational meeting, conducted completely in Spanish, provided resources and information for parents of English Language Learners (ELLs). Parents learned about the different Language Acquisition programs available in our school district, additional learning opportunities offered like Saturday Academy and the Extended Year Program, as well as, parent resources and information available on the New York State Education website through the Office of Bilingual Education and World Languages. In addition, and in collaboration with FACE, we were able to provide backpacks and school supplies to all families in attendance.
