Letter regarding January Preparations for Learning

Hello Goldback students and families,

As you are well aware, the Omicron Variant is wreaking havoc across the state. Based on a variety of unique circumstances, some school districts have decided to revert to remote learning during the first few weeks of January. Other school districts, including ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ, are being proactive just in case a decision needs to be made while we are on break.

In order to be sure the education of our students is not interrupted, we have asked our educators to make sure students bring their Chromebooks home along with any materials and resources that students may need to participate in and complete assignments in the event that the district needs to transition to virtual learning.

We understand the impact late notifications have on our families and we hope to welcome all students back for in-person learning on Monday, January 3rd. However, we recognize how quickly circumstances are changing with this new variant, so we are trying to be prepared. The district will notify you as soon as possible in the event a transition to virtual learning becomes necessary.

Please let me reiterate, we do not foresee a need to revert to virtual learning at this time. We are just being proactive!

Please stay healthy and safe,

Ed Forgit
Acting Superintendent of School

¡Solo estamos siendo proactivos!

Por favor, manténgase sano y seguro.

Ed Forgit
Superintendente interino de la escuela
