Police Officer Visits Gardnertown Leadership Academy
On Tuesday, May 24th Town of Newburgh police officer Dillon Benedict visited Gardnertown Leadership Academy during their lunch time. The children had plenty of questions for Officer Benedict as he went from table to table in the cafeteria. They wanted to know about his experiences as a police officer and if he has fun doing his job. Mostly, they wanted the secret to the card tricks Officer Benedict performed at each table. The children were in awe each time he successfully guessed the card they selected from the shuffled deck of cards.
Officer Benedict was asked by several students to come back to their school as he certainly brightened their day with his presence.
Officer Benedict's visit comes on the heels of National Police Week where we pay homage and honor those officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.
