LITERACY & THE BENEFITS OF READING TO CHILDREN
A child’s reading skills are important to their success in school, work, and life in general. It is very possible to help ensure your child’s success by reading to them daily starting at a very early age.
FUN FACT #1:
6 additional minutes of reading per day can significantly improve kids’ reading performance.
When it comes to the importance of reading, statistics show that a little reading goes a long way. Case in point: the difference in reading habits between children who meet the grade-level benchmarks and those who do not amounts to just 6 minutes per day.(Renaissance.com)
