¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ Scholars Participate in the 4th Annual Transformative Classroom Learning Youth Conference

On Tuesday, May 23rd, Marist College played host to the 4th Annual Transformative Classroom Learning Youth Conference. The event was held in the Murray Student Center and featured keynote speaker Jevon D. Hunter, Ph.D who reminded the children in attendance that they are "Awesome" and important to the future of the world. Schools from across the county were invited to present on a multitude of topics to their peers and advisors. Students shared what they learned about culture and real issues happening in schools, in their communities, and globally. The presentations included display boards, speeches, PowerPoint presentations, and videos. Scholars from grades K-12 asked their peers questions and even bonded over their shared experiences. Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Jackielyn Manning Campbell, was also in attendance in support of the ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ District (¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ) scholars. ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ was represented by Balmville Elementary, Gardnertown Leadership Academy, Vails Gate STEAM Academy, Heritage Middle School, South Middle School, and Newburgh Free Academy (NFA) North and Main Campuses.
