Freshman James Thorpe Set Shot Put Record!
The Newburgh Boys Track Team was led by Freshman, James Thorpe who set the shot put record ( 39' 6") on day one of two at The New Balance Games that was held on 1/19 thru 1/20/18 at the New York Armory. The track meet was attended by over 3,000 athletes:
Sophomores: Day one
1st place 4X400m relay: Xaiver Ewen, Adam Jimeneze, Gavin Simmons, and Maleek Powell
2nd place 4X200m relay: Xaiver Ewen, Adam Jimeneze, Gavin Simmons, and Maleek Powell
Middle School:
2nd place 4X200m relay: Matthew Worrell, Sam Montes, David Winters, and Mehki Robinson
Varsity: Day two
2nd Place 4X400m relay: (3:21.06) Brendon Hanson, Ricardo Singh, Davin Slater, Ryler Gould
3rd place 4X200m relay (1:30.04) Brendon Hanson, Ricardo Singh, Davin Slater, Ryler Gould
