Goldbacks in the News! We need your vote!
Two Newburgh schools are finalists in a contest for a $25,000 grant for a new playground.
Vails Gate STEAM Academy and Meadow Hill School K-8 are two of 78 schools that are finalists for the grant from Project Fit America. Four schools will be selected, so both of our schools have a chance to win.
Both schools currently have playgrounds for their younger students. The schools say they would use the new facility as part of their curriculum for gym classes and not just recess. They also say it would be open to the public after school.
You can go online and vote for the schools to win the money. Project Fit America will give grants to the four schools with the most votes.
Voting will stop has been extended to February 15th, and people can vote once a day per email address.
