NFA Wrestling Team Makes History at State Championships!
HISTORY MAKING! Not just one, but TWO NFA Wrestlers have won State Championship title in their respective weight classes!
Will Soto (101lbs.)
Cooper Merli (108lbs.)
Soto had a perfect season, breaking two school records going 51-0 for this season and having an overall record of 99-6 as an NFA Varsity Record.
This is Cooper Merli’s second consecutive State Championship title. Last year Merli took home the title at 102lbs. Merli was the first NFA state champion since Al Favata in 1968.
Five athletes from the NFA Varsity Wrestling team competed at States, with four earning state titles - another school record!
