All-District Music Festival Celebration
Students from schools throughout the district joined voices and instruments to perform songs as a combined chorus, a combined band, and a combined orchestra. These students performed beautifully to a packed auditorium at Newburgh Free Academy, Main campus on Tuesday, March 20th, 2018.
All District Orchestra was conducted by Ms. Monica Guido. Performances included: Crystal City March, Samba La Bamba, Classic Bits and Pieces, and Batman Theme. Instruments included: Violin I, Violin II, Viola, Cello, and Bass.
All District Band was conducted by Ms. Pamela Dunleavy. Performances included: Festivo Fantastico, Scarborough Fair, The Little Factory, and I Want to Hold Your Hand. Instruments included: Flute, Alto Saxophone, French Horn, Bells, Trombone, Trumpet, Clarinet, and Percussion.
All District Chorus was conducted by Ms. Jillian Caci with accompaniments from Mr. Rick Santacroce, Ms. Anne Linton, Ms. Karen Sheehy, and Mrs. Karin McCartney. Performances included: Sisi Ni Moja, Stories of My Life, Jabberwacky, and Stand Together. The final song was performed with choral directors from the elementary and middle schools.
Student performers were represented from all Elementary, K-8, and Middle School in the disrict: Balmville School, Fostertown School, Gardnerstown Leadership Academy, Gidney Avenue Memorial School, Horizons on the Hudson, New Windsor School, Vails Gate STEAM Academy, Meadow Hill GEM School, Temple Hill School, Heritage Middle School, and South Middle School.
