Newburgh Free Academy, North Campus Hosted Their 6th Annual Science Research Symposium
Newburgh Free Academy, North Campus hosted their 6th Annual Science Research Symposium on Friday, May 11, 2018. The evening began with a poster presentation by several student researchers, followed by introduction and welcomes by Mr. Matteo Doddo and Ms. Kristin Oberle. Andrew Gomez and Daniel Hanrahan were the masters of ceremony.
The keynote speaker was Dr. Ja. Kenneth Wicksier, researcher at West Point who focused on genetically engineering microbial cells.

Josh Fuentes discussed The Effects of Animal – Assisted Therapy on Anxiety in a Long-term Care Facility. Kiara McBean presented on her research topic: The Entourage Effect: The Marijuana Cannabinoid Effect on Epilepsy and Other Seizure Disorder Patients.
